LaRawn Rhea

LaRawn Scaife Rhea is Delta born and proud of her small town heritage She was blessed to spend most of her summers at her grandparents' loving home which was exactly six houses down the sidewalk from the Public Library. It was the Librarian, Miss Carolyn, who inspired her love of reading and writing. Miss Carolyn saw a timid young child who was easily frightened and at times, unknown to anyone, bullied by other children. Through books LaRawn found fun, mystery, and adventure. Her hope is that Lavandula will be comfort and a source of solace to all children who have fears or bad dreams. Based in Nashville, LaRawn is a Certified Protocol & Etiquette Consultant and a motivational speaker. Although she has spoken to members of Congress and thousands through TV appearances, one of her favorite speaking engagements was speaking to school children in South Africa and encouraging those precious children to be brave, study hard, and be the best they can be. Her favorite pastimes are reading, baking from her maternal grandmother’s original recipes, and traveling with her husband, Richard.

Bill Kersey has been doing his dream job as a freelance designer and illustrator for over 20 years. One of the country’s top in-demand illustrators, his recently illustrated book was in collaboration with Country Music Super Star, Brad Paisley, who partnered with Olympic Champion, Scott Hamilton in writing the children’s book, “Fritzy Finds A Hat”.

Bill's illustrations in the book, “The Angel In My Room is Purple", are delightfully insightful. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Lisa, and the youngest of his five children, Gustavo.
